SAT Updates CFDI 4.0 Catalogs for Customs Declarations

Update to the CFDI 4.0 catalogs published by Mexico's SAT in July 2026.

The Mexican Tax Administration Service (SAT) has published an update to the CFDI 4.0 catalogs, effective July 17, 2026. This update adds new records related to customs declarations and customs broker licenses while keeping the technical structure (XSD) used for generating electronic tax invoices unchanged.

For companies operating with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, staying up to date with these changes is essential to ensure compliance with Mexican tax regulations and avoid inconsistencies when issuing CFDIs.

You can review the official publication on the SAT website:

When Do These Changes Take Effect?

The new records in the CFDI 4.0 catalogs became mandatory on July 17, 2026. Companies issuing CFDIs for foreign trade operations should ensure their systems have been updated accordingly.

Keeping these catalogs up to date helps prevent validation errors and ensures compliance with the tax regulations issued by the SAT.
