New SAT Updates in CFDI 4.0 Catalogs: Mandatory Changes Starting September 2025

On September 3, 2025, the Mexican Tax Administration Service (SAT) announced an update to the CFDI version 4.0 catalogs, introducing significant changes that will take effect on September 5, 2025.

Key changes published by the SAT

• New catalog entries: 10 new entries were added to c_Aduana, Patente, Ejercicio, and Start Date of Validity.

• New customs patents: 4 new entries were added to the c_PatenteAduanal catalog, with their respective start dates of validity.

• Description updates: 14 descriptions were updated in the c_ClaveProdServ catalog and 13 in c_ClaveProdServCP.

• No changes in XSD schemas: This update does not involve technical schema modifications.
